What is the difference between cement and concrete?
Cement is an ingredient of concrete. Cement is the powder added to concrete that provides the base elements for the glue that holds the concrete together.
Concrete is a mixture of sand and stones, and the paste is water and cement. It is also important to note that concrete “hardens” or “sets” because of the chemical reaction between the water and cement.
How many bags of pre-mixed concrete mix are required to fill a cubic meter?
Around 100 x 20kg of concrete mix bags are required.
What does the MPa mean?
MPa is the metric unit for pressure also known as megapascal (MPa). It is the unit of measurement that is used for compressive strength. You should ideally contact a professional when a defined strength is required for a project.
Is it a good idea to measure mortar materials or concrete with a shovel?
No, this is not a good idea. Using a shovel won’t ensure that the materials are all equally measured. You should use items like a bucket to measure cement. The most common mistake that is made when mixing concrete is adding to much water. Too much water will almost certainly ruin the strength of concrete, render and mortar.
